Accountings of the creation of the world

Excerpt from the Book of Runes
- Translated and compiled by the Sage Dilnor of Shadville

In the beginning, there was only thought. Pure thought and imagination. That thought had a name. It was Urvaak. Often, in his imagination, he dreamed of a place called Undeer. He knew not where that thought came from, just that it was there. And from that dream, he learned the concept of space and time. H was amazed that the sun rose and fell at certain parts of the day. And so, initially, he created time. Soon, he realized that time was a passing thing, having a past, a future, and a present. And so, being able to do anything, Urvaak continued to create his own “universe” as he saw it.

Secondly, he created space. The world was set into motion. He placed everything as it should be. The sun, the moons, the other suns, or “stars”. He was pleased. “And so”, he thought, “I shall create those creatures that can live in my universe.” Thus, the human race was born. However, while creating the humans, he erred. Or so he thought. The humans tunred out to have their own individualistic thoughts as he did. Dismissing it, he continued. Next, he created the trees, rivers, oceans, and all of nature’s wildlife.

But he did not stop there. Being bored and frustrated with the self-willed humans, he went on to create a new and better race: the reptiliads. though they could not “think”, they were very cowardly and shunned the light severely. At first, Urvaak was pleased because they did what he wanted. But he realized he erred by making them so weak. Disappointed, Urvaak abandoned this world, and went on to create another “perfect” world, leaving the world as we know it to the humans.

The humans were appalled that their createor had left them. They dubbed him as their “god” and built shrines to worship him. When Urvaak left, they burned down all the shrines, saying his time had ended and the new gods must now arise. Urvaak had no knowledge of anything happening to his “children”.

From the depths of the ocean came the god Arumue, Patron of the Fishermen. Out of the solid earth rose the Mighty Kragen, god of steel and earth. Other gods were born as well: Emerdus, the god of evil; Validus, the god of power; Regnar, the Rainbow Knight; Lenob, the evil goddess of magic and Lenob’s counterpart, Ladylight, the goddess of the sun and magic.

And so, the people of Krolos lived in harmony and peace. The first known era of Krolos begins.

And so the excerpt ends.

About Yoshi

Yoshi has been eating since he was born, so he's quite the expert on the subject. Never mind that everyone else has been doing the same. He's confident when it comes to food, and longs to be a food stylist so he can take pictures of his mouth watering masterpieces and immortalize his pieces of art. He also fancies himself a writer or something to that effect. He's written a few things, mainly about Urban Fantasy and just plain Fantasy. (It's the influence from Dungeons & Dragons.)
